because of snow????

I remember when I went to school, they would NEVER shut school down, no matter what!

Now they shut schools down because the weathermen SAID it is going to snow alot.

we are becoming a country of sissies.

When I was a kid, I had to walk to school. It was 3 miles one way, up hill both directions. Snow was chest deep. Once a week, it was my turn to wear the shoes.

That was because when I was a kid I walked to school and when I lived on the Farm I walked allmost 2 miles out to the main road to get on the Bus. My Uncle plowed out the lane from the Farm House in PA. with his tractor and we used Clinkers from the Coal burning heater to get traction with. Now the Bus comes to there door steps to pick them up.
