Wisconsin's are kinda pretty. My IL plates came,
and I believe they are white, red and blue.
Very patriotic. I just hope that it blends/matches my car!

Now that I've seen the others post, I have to agree that Wyoming has the nicest plates and has for a long time. Here is a picture of our new "Conservation" or, as we call them, "Moose" plates.

Without a doubt, the Wyoming plates with the "Bucking Cowboy" on them are the best looking ones. I have a collection of them dating from the 1960's.

kraig WY Is this what your talking about?    Posted 05-19-2002 at 12:27:28       [Reply]  [No Email]
The bugs were extra. Wyoming was suppose to be the first state to put a picture on their license plates.

YUP. That's my choice. I guess you must be "a high-falootin', rootin' tootin,' son of a gun from ole Wyoming; ragtime cowboy, talk about your cowboy, Ragtime Cowboy Joe.

I think some of the nicest ones are Indiana , has something with a farm city background on it I think and Nebraska has something similar also Iowa . Being a farmer I think it is nice .
I'm in Illinois and they have the ugliest I think and the new ones are worse . We were supposed to have a choice , vote on one at SOS offices but the choices were ugly and uglier . Several options are avaliable with fish , deer , birds , and a dozen or so more I can't think of but no farm scene . I would like to see some kind of farm background on a plate . Agriculture is a BIG business in this state but I guess it is not enough VOTES .
Too many big cities and too many pockets to fill .

Where I live in NYC, I think our license plate should have either a pigeon or a rat on it.

I THINK nyc SHOULD BE ITS OWN STATE WITH WHATEVER PLATE THEY WANT

We have so many ones here in Florida that if you look at all of them, you will find the prettist and the ugliest among them!

The new Maryland agriculture ones. They are yellow/red and down at the bottom have a picture of a farm, then on the side say "Our Farms, Our Future"

Probly the Parks/Recreation plates - Minnesota has 2 deer in the background, Kansas has sunflowers, i've seen loons and bears and canoes and they're real colorful. Utah had its beehive plates years ago. We always watch for them on the road.

Here's Iowa's

Hi Joe, the nicest plate you can ever see is from the Yukon EH!!It's white with blue trim and the shape of a Polar Bear, try to beat that folks. One more thing Joe just got back from Beach Myrtle as we call it up here, not that we'er backwards or anything. While trudging along the beach in the blistering hot sun I did notice a collage girl talking on her cellfone as she trudged in the other direction, nice to keep in touch I guess. I was suffering YT Board withdrawel but didn't phone anyone though.
Later Bob

Sounds like that college girl is a real PHONEY.

Good to hear from you, Cowboy Joe.
There's a lot of nice ones these days and some ugly ones. Our NH one is nothing special, IMHO. Your previous NY one with the Statue of Liberty was nice.
One of the ugliest ones as far back as I can remember is New Jersey's. That still hold's true today.

Thanks. I think NY's new one is nicer than the old one. However, I agree with your comment about NJ. It's plain, although their specialty plates are somewhat better; overall they're dull, just like the stock market, politicians, the state of commercial "Country" music and liars (I mean lawyers).
