Hi All,

Since there will always be the red/Blue, Liberal/Conservative divide among us I thought the link below might be useful in determining just what the differences are. Tongue-in-cheek, of course. All sides please accept with the good humor in which this is offered.

Fred Reed is an interesting fellow with some unorthodox views sure to irritate everyone at one time or another. Read some of his stuff.

I dodge the arguments at all times, not because I don't have an opinion, but because I could get my feelings hurt or my fists clenched at any given moment over my own half-educated opinion. And, as I appended to the end of a post I made at the top of this page, Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best:

"For every minute you are angry, you lose sixty seconds of happiness."

So instead, I just decided to stay out of it no matter how much I agreed or disagreed, and choose to be grateful that I know such a large group of intelligent patriots who are so passionate about their country, on both sides and to all degrees of the spectrum.

Here's another guy that is middle of the road too:

I hope he gets it right in some of his columns. That one takes every stereotype and calls it true to the nth degree.

That was good    Posted 01-09-2005 at 12:08:20       [Reply]  [No Email]
Thanks Darryl. That was good.

So where does that leave us normal folks...

Burrhead    Posted 01-09-2005 at 16:59:13       [Reply]  [No Email]
I'm not sure we get a classification anymore Hoss. It's and all out out red/blue war.

When I took the meter check I'm almost dead center. Neither left or right.

However to liberals I'm too conservative and to conservatives I'm too liberal.

The test rated me "moderate".

Burr,I think there is a really big third party waiting to be formed of folks like us that don't fit either party.

3rd party? Ross Perot Reform party got 18% couple elections back. Ended up with Clinton and 8 years of confusion. RN
