Does anyone actually think the election is going to change anything over there. You have four factions fighiting for control and were going to make one a winner!! Ya right!!I think its time we clean out our prisons , put them all in the military and send them over to keep peace in Iraq! Keep our young fathers and there familys togeather at home.

The British already tried to settle things down there around the 1920ís. We are probably going to end up with the same result.

Well, it better not change anything for the better or there'll be a whole mess of folks disappointed.

I've been thinking that they are going to have themselves one heluva civil war sooner or later. Probably after we pack up and leave. It's the only way I can see that they can settle out their differences. I don't think we started it, nor is it our fault. It's been brewing for centuries. Saddam just kept a lid on it for the last 35 or so years. Even he struggled with it at times.
I think it was bound to happen someday no matter what anybody did or said. Our invasion probably precipitated it happening before saddam died, but my guess is that it would have happened when he finally died anyway. Sons of despot dictators don't usually hold power long after they take over from Dad, they usually just aren't as good at it as the old man was.
It's a shame because it'll be some kind of bloody.

Just something I've been thinking about lately, hope I'm wrong.

not only that, some of those prisoners would like to be given a weapon, are darn handy with them and really enjoy that kinda work. you'll add freedom and pay? :)

First I'd like to say no,nothing will change you have to have leader as ruthless as the factions, second sending prisoners over and expecting them to follow orders is kinda of a stretch sorta like an open buffet on the civilans for the psycopaths.
