I'm not sure who it was, but when I first started coming to KL, somebody posted the Record Lady's website. I can lose myself there on a dreary winter day, listening to songs from my childhood. I leave an occasional donation, and shamelessly advertise her site (with advice to make a donation) in my journal.

Message boards are great for small talk, but they're also a great way of sharing favorite websites. Had I known back then how much The Record Lady would mean to me, I'd have said thanks at the time... and I would have known who to thank. As it is, if you think you might be the "guilty party"... thanks!

Mornin Donna, I recommend the record lady alot. I'm not saying it was me. It's just that hers is the only site I know how to use, and can operate. LOL
She's got a good site.
Ron

Yep, I do believe it might have been you; it was a long time back, before Lenore started coming here. The funny thing is, I looked at the site, saved the link, and didn't think much more about it. Now I find myself going back all the time: I'll try to "stump the record lady", figuring I'll find a song she doesn't have. No way! If it's an oldie, she has it.

Well, Donna, it wasn't me. Someday when I get a 'puter with more 1s and 0s, I'll check it out.
Happy January!

Miss Donna, doubt twas Me cause I found out about it on here and would have said it was Les cept notin tha above denial on His part. It is a great site and has cluttered up one of My hard drives extensivly. There are several other good ones but I rate Hers right up at tha top. I've noticed some of these sites offer Music but give worms, bugs, nastys, etc!Best left alone. The Green Co Library is a good source for lyrics.
And yes to slippin Rose a buck'er two once in a while.

Try "Old+Time+Country+Music+Lovers" in Google search. On the left side, should bring up a lot of country music locations including "The Record Lady's" site, also gospel, and bluegrass.

I remember a year or so ago someone asking about old classic country music. I did recomend the Recordlady site to them. I dont know if it was me or not but I do know it is an excellent site for listening to old country music, but dont expect to find any current ones there. Even 70s country is too NEW for her site. LOL

And we found out the hard way to never never never direct link a song from her site to a message board. The Record Lady gets all kinds of bent out of shape about that; she calls it stealing bandwidth, I think it was.

Yes, yes I sort of got my butt chewed out for that!! :-)
She surely got my attention quick. She is a stickler about her site and it is hers, so she has every right to do so. It just amazed me how she tracked it down so fast. LOL
