i,ll tell you one thing about this mad cow stuff, they are gonna keep messing around with that feed until even the canadian consumer loses confidence in our meat, they banned some of the by products that were being used to go back into feed but i was listening to it on cbc radio today in the truck and they were saying that blood wasn,t banned and when the govt. official was asked he said it was a low risk to contain prions and great britian, the states, etc. don,t worry about that, asked again if it could cause mad cow he said i suppose maybe it could but its very low risk, why in he11 do they even feed stuff like that back and chicken feed wasn,t included in this ban in 97 what happens if a farmer feeds his chickens an a cow picks it up.they govt. guy was sayin britian had 500 cases and the states don,t check like we do , well im not in britian for starters and i do support our ranchers but thing had better start to change, renendering is big bussiness i guess and they won,t do anything until the american border is slammed shut for 7 years or good and canadians quit supporting rant is over lol.

They should make the feed manufactures pay for this.It seems thats the source so why make the rancher pay. More auction sales listed for this spring sadly.Dan

just heard kline on the news sayin all the herds should be culled , wonder if he is prepared to compensate the ranchers, your right it is the feed manufactures and those in the rendering bussines on both sides of the border. a guy from the american packers association was saying the other night if they don,t open the border their bussiness is goin to be ruined and alot of folks down there out work also. i think that is gonna happen anyway as they are now building packing plants all over up here instead of dealing with the so called big three. some here in bc some more in alberta that i know off.
