Sorry about picture width fowling up reading the text.

Tried as I have to get the pics sized right I never know what I'm going to get. If I were to have reduced these once more they likely had come out thumb sized, unrecoverable medium sizes and useless anywhere else.

Have noticed some boards will keep pictures whole while keeping printed mater in a reasonable reading format.

Only other solution I can think of to keep details easily readable is to post or thread text and pics separately.

As I like to take an occasional pic, and some folks seem to enjoy them, I can submit text and pics separately.

Please advise.
Fernan

The following will lead to an excellent freeware photo editor that can resize photos, send Email, play sounds, and all other kinds of good stuff.

bingo- irfanview! that little program eats most anything, plays a sound sample just by landing n it, rotates pictures without making them flat, 1-click effects, lets you load everything into a slideshow - fun thing! just keep the width under 800 pixels. :)

Right! That's another option and Irfanview is a great program..

I love your stories, Fern and the pics you are posting as well. It really ads to the story!

Now, it ain't too difficult to resize pictures. Tell me which program you use and I might be able to give youdetailed instructions.

Another solution could be:
Gerrit's free picture resize service

How does that work? Simple! Send me an email to gerrit @ prtc.net ( remove the spaces )
and include the link to the pictures like you would include them in your message. I will go there, get the pics, resize them and mail them back to you. This service is free for you and any other KL-er who wants to post pics but has problem resizeing them!
Now if that ain't an offer....

As an example, herewith the pics of yesterday's story resized to a width of 400 pixels:
