plowed the yard last night around midnight, was raining some how the rain turned to ice over night now it is so slippery i can,t stand up on it, even the shelties with their four paw tracrion can,t stand up on it, wife just called from work asked how the roads were and if they plowed them yet , i told her about the driveway, she wasn,t impressed. called a friend of ours who has a cememnt plant and a bunch of equipement including a sanding truck, he is on his way, good to have a friends like those folks, maybe i,ll get supper yet.

I'm always glad to hear a good weather report from you, James... since my son (also named James, but we call him Jim) lives in Waverly Hall, near you. Perhaps my little granddaughter was able to play outside today.

Thats when I stop by the Gravle Yard for a part load of 5/8 minius and use a shove to throw a light spread on the drive. Stays longer and the sun heats the rock so it will sink into the ice. I sand the walk ways with play sand. Sault is the last resort to break up the hold over spots at the nd of winter. We are dripping now around here and ice is forming also. Mark H.

i usually have feed bags full stored away in the barn, but for some reason i don,t this year, i had it nearly to the ground last night but then it rained ice half the night, i don,t use salt because of the dogs, and it,s a big area that need to be done so i,ll let the sander do it , won,t take him five minutes .pourin rain here again now and warm .i,ll take this to what we had the last 3 weeks.

I am now seeing totaly bare spots on the drive. We are also having light rain now. If it keeps up I will have a clear driveway in JAN!! Looks like we won't have full lakes this year unless this snow picks up. Less snow more fires more money?? What a way to look at it! Mark H.
