With severe memory problems, I took Ginkho for a while, and Donna tried it too. Finally we both discovered that the sleep interuptions were annoying but the dreams and nightmares were unreal. So we stopped taking them, right now I forget why.

lets see now:

patient complains of severe memory problems,
patient takes Ginkho for a while,
patient stopped taking it,
patient forgets why.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm - for some reason, i find the preceding comments humorous -
well offhand tell me mr ron, have you noticed any patterns here? like your sentences are getting shorter? we'd better stabilize your communication habits before anything else. i'll write a prescription for alphabet soup, you take it 3 times/day and meanwhile repeat after me - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:)

seriously re: memory loss
I experienced some of that about seven years ago.
I found that stopping all use of Aspartame/Equal/NutraSweet in food and drinks; my memory was restored as good as new!! I now check and double check every thing I consume. I almost accidently got some here a month or so ago. I found the most wonderful over the counter cold/flu early treatment...Alka Seltzer Plus Cold. Upon careful examination of the ingredients, there it was "aspartame". Almost all of the flavored coffees have it in them even if not listed. Some manufacturers are rather sneaky about it. I now call 800#s before I take any thing.
