{Actually people have been telling me that most of my life butI refuse to believe them..I prefer the term "Unique"}

But today I'm "off" on a short road trip to my state capital city to take care of some paperwork that would be quite simple if it didn't involve a combination of state and federal government agencies! Gets a little overwhelming sometimes for a misplaced hillbilly like me from a county where if a door is revolving it means you just bumped into it head first!

They're calling for a little snow, hopefully it will be just a little, otherwise I could be snowed in dealing with a snow job!{or something like that}

oh you'll come back to us a victor. Been reading many of your stories, and it doesn't seem to me you're scared of a battle with a door..heheh

I had a nice talk with one an Americano last night, he's the husband of my cousin..they live about 45 minutes from Chicago...told me about some heatwave up their way. Funny guys, indeed. She's from Puerto Rican origin.. born and raised in Chicago. Lived all her life up there. She married John about seven years ago I believe. What a guy..it's always a celebration for us when we all meet again, and last night the four of us went to a bistro where we meet about three times a year, a homey bar with an alfresco service too. It's by the beach and a marina. Anyway John and me had a most interesting chat about my friends in KL..he was curious about how I had landed here. We talked about the weather up there, and here too..for he was trying to run away from bad weather. Said he came to the caribbean for some sun...but didn't mind that it was rainy and not really for a beautiful day at the beach as long as he was in PR. So we have plans for tomorrow night and also for sunday. Friends of them from Chicago are arriving tomorrow, a couple with two small kids that Beny does babysitting for whenever they're here..his birthday is tomorrow and we are meeting somewhere to celebrate. I love it when my Americanos friends come to our island and are enjoying themselves. Gotta help those poor souls to get their bones warmed up fast!
