Patria quote:Anyway John and me had a most interesting chat about my friends in KL

That made me wonder how many of your in a conversation with friends mention what someone here on the Kountry Living board said? I know I have on many occassions.

some look a little funny at me when I mention what goatmanwannabe said about raising goats or what deadcarp said about rehab after a stroke. When I mention how pink panther got his stuff stolen and had to move into his trailer trash home to protect things till he could build his new home in the country.

It is almost like living in two worlds with two sets of friends. Do any of you find yourself doing that?

Absolutely! I am glad to hear I am not the only one that does that. This just isnt your typical message board is it? :)

I talk online to more people than off line? Never thought that would happen a few years ago. Met a lot of good people that way now I am addicted to going to the sites just to see what is going on!! Mark H.

My wife knows and understands, she reads a lot of
this stuff, but occasionally i'll mention something
to a worker or someone at church,
that someone online said, and get a "HUH??" or
"how do you talk online", or just a funny look.
I don't care, I have friends here and I learn alot
by reading and talkng on these forums.

Ii tried to explain my folks in Holland about this board and my friends here..
The way they were looking at me said it all.. They still don't understand me...

Imagine how they reacted when I told them I was going to Puerto Rico to meet that wonderful woman I met in the internet.. And the when I came back and told them I was going to marry her and live in Puerto Rico..
They think I am a different species every now and then LOL

oh sure --- you guys are like real people. people might ask if that's a lenore joke or a kelly chicken. not to sound uppity but i think the internet crowd tends to think on a broader range of subjects and is generally better informed too. ever hear some chatter and ask if that was from the internet? :)

I'm very jealous with the places I hang sister knows about kl, and my daughters, 17 and 25, are not allowed to talk about this place with their friends, or in-laws, or even work colleagues! 'don't know where trolls live. LOL

Anyway, I told John about us here so they can come by and say hi to all of you.

oh more Americano in this forum..heheh

Take care my friend.

Gerrit, I get those weird looks sometimes, too,
they just dont realize like deacarp said how many interesting and diverse people you talk to and learn from on a site like this one. This one in my opinion is very special.

Me, too Patria!!
I wont invite just anyone here.
Clod brought me to this site.
Maggie and Vic found it on their own, but I did invite Texas.
I knew he being a farmer, cattleman, engineer and a bit of a character, he would feel right at home here. :-)

There are some others whom I would never invite for all kind of different reasons. LOL

If you think that is bad, try explaining who "lovely luscious Lenore" (your quote), is to a wife:^)
