2.39 a gallon!!! crying out loud; i remember when it was 50cents a gallon. (20 yrs.ago)

back when i was a kid and carried it home in a 1 gal. can with a potato on the spout for the lamps it was coal oil .never heard it called kerosene then

i remember when kerosine and "white gas" was at the back of the service station ( remember those?). when gasoline was selling for 26-30 cents/gallon, kerosine was 15 cents/gallon and diesel was unheard of except for the big truck stop out on the edge of town on the interstate highway.

Yeah, I paid 1.999 last night and felt fortunate. It was 2.299 last time I bought, about a month ago. Like you I remember 50 cents, but it doesn't seem all that long ago.
