Last night there was a wonderful show on PBS about manufacturing that's still in the Pittsburgh area. They highlighted a lot of old firms that are still making stuff there, really a great show. They looked at factories from the Iron City brewery to the bottle-making factory to a little garage company that builds toy steam engines to a candy company.

They should do a series like it, was fun to see folks who were proud of what they do and still making "stuff" in the U.S.

I didn't watch that one...we're getting PBS from a St.Thomas station that we didn't have before, on channel 12 here. I'll make sure and check their website to see what's the schedule.

I've been watching Austin City Limits, wow I love it! But this one is being shown very late at night..when I want to watch some good tv before falling asleep.

Michael McDonald is on for February 19...would be nice if I didn't forget it.
