In response to the comment about non Americans should not be allowed in and the native American response to that: There are no native Americans granted the "indians" have been here much longer than the others but they are not "Native" No humanoid species ever developed on the north American continent. What makes one an American? My family has been here since 1634 so I guess I am one my sister in law has been here since she was two but never has become a citizen so is she? Her sister my wife was the first one in her family to be born here so she is an American but is she anymore or less than her sister.
My wife was born here but her family lived in a Polish enclave and english is her second language she never learned engish until going to school. I learned a good bit of Polish just being with her because there was never a word of english spoken at any family gatherings.
I do think that there should be a limit on how long one should be able to reside here without becoming a citizen though. How can one in good conscience take advantage of all this country has to offer for 20 30 or more years and not become a citizen.

i don,t think any disrespect was mean pitch certainly not on my part, like i said i had seen that kind of post many times go through here.i would say we are all immagrants of some sort, the one thing that bothers me here in canada though and i don,t know if it is the same in the states, but here we have people come here and we are the ones who are suppose to change to accomadate them, if they left their country to come here for a better way of life why do they want to change this country to be like the one they left. we have a guy here now on the news been in all kinds of trouble ever since he came to here from india and now after 17 years he is finally running out of appeals and may get deported 17 years and probably millions of dollars and the crimes he committed and he,s not the only ones, something sure is wrong when they can come here have more rights that canadian citizens and certainly more rights than they had where they came from and this goes on for 17 years , one appeal after the other, it,s no wonder why folks get fed up and say some of the things they do when they see their country being over run like it is.

I was watching that on the news last night, and said exactly the same thing to the wife.Good honest people are being deported(russian professor and family told to leave in their sailboat from halifax days before a winter storm)This fellow had a job offer from one of the colleges in halifax, and could have paid his own way,but no we have to import Romanian strippers....oh there I go,didn't want to get started.

Hold on Naz, they earned their stay here. They helped the Imigration Minister get re elected. As for that Kid from Trinnidad, they caught Working, now there is someone that needed deporting, glad they dealt with his kind fast and furious.,
Later Bob
