"KARTOFFEL KLOSSE" potato croquettes. finally heres the receipe. 9 medium sized potatoes. 1 teaspoonsalt(optional), 3 eggs well beaten, 1 cup flour, 2/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs, 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1 cup butter,1/2 cup bread crumbs, 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped onions. scrub potatoes and cook in their skins. my bride says the potatoes should be cooked the day before & refrig. remove skins and put potatoes through a ricer into a bowl. mix in salt,eggs,flour,2/3 cup bread crumbs& nutmeg.form into balls(if too moist add more bread crumbs)drop balls into boiling salted water.when balls come to top, boil for 3 min. remove one & cut open. if center is dry they are done. remove from water & POUR OVER them a DRESSING MADE AS FOLLOWS. BROWN BUTTER IN SKILLET ADD 1/2 CUP OF BREAD CRUMBS& ONION. COOK FOR SEVERAL MIN. MAKE 12 TO 14 SERVINGS. THESE ARE REALLY GOOD ESP WITH THE GRAVY FROM THE SAUERBRATEN. ENJOY BILL

Thanks for taking the time to get the recipe to us...We really appreciate it. This will be a treat for the family.

I can't wait for the kids to ask "What's for dinner?" I'll tell them " Sauerbraten W/ Kartoffel Klosse" Oh boy, watch em run! LOL
