When I first came to this board, there was a guy here who had a radio show with (I think) cowboy music. Who was that, and what happened to him?

I use to post here a while back and yes, he was a great guy. If I remember correctly he worked with youth for a day job.

Thanks everybody. Cowboy Joe is the one I was thinking of. He disappeared shortly after I came to this board.

Here is what I was able to find out Googling from Burr's posts:

Cowboy Joe's Radio Ranch
Cowboy Joe's Radio Ranch is returning to the airwaves. The show, in its previous run, aired for 12 years in the New York area over WKCR FM and WBAI, and much of that time nationally through National Public Radio's Extended Program Service. The show features authentic western swing, cowboy music and poetry with a touch of Cowboy Joe's "dry" sense of humor and a down-to-earth feel for the cowboy way of life. Please stay tuned to this page for updates.

Here is the website:

Donna that is Cowboy Joe.

He has a radio show at one of the stations that got knocked out when the twin towers got hit. I think he lives in Manhattan.
The show is the Cowboy Joe Radio Show and he plays all vintage cowboy music.

I tried by my old link to the station but it did'nt work. I'm still looking.

I remember who you mean Donna, but I don't recall hearing anything from or about him in quite awhile.
