Since mud asked, I reckon y'all might be wondering what is going on with the 31 acres, so I thought I would post an update. Ian put in the pre-approval loan application, and now we are waiting on approval. I didn't know his credit union was going to send it through snail mail. The loan people are IN Stockbridge. I take Shelby to school over in Stockbridge every day! I couldhave dropped it off myself and things would have went much quicker. My fault I suppose, saying something to Ian too late. Oh well, now we will have to wait for it to get there, and then for them to look at it. So...now we just wait.

I took Mama out to the property Friday. It was a bit windy and cold so we didn't walk down to the little frog pond down the trail out back.

When we pulled up to the drive, I got out and found the hidden key to the gate and opened the gate to the drive, drove in and closed the gate back. We hadn't even got up the drive yet, and she loved how the trees and brush made a kind of tunnel over the driveway. She says I should leave that, lol, I said I will, but if anything scrapes the truck, its getting cut back.

Then, I took her up to the house and the barn. SHe loved the barn, said it had a lot of character. I meant to bring a camera out and take pics of the place, but I forgot. Hopefully I will be able to take as many as I want soon! Took her into the house, she liked it a lot. Its not our dream home, but we will build in a few years. Good enough for us to live in and be comfortable.

She absolutely loved it, and is on the sae page as me now, she says she is already there. :) SO, I guess soon as we get settled they will be following behind soon, boy, that will be nice to have my parents right there with us. :)

Kelly,I was born and raised in the city.I was 40 something when I moved to w.v and nothing beats walking out the back door with your morning coffee and seeing nothing but your land and your critters and no neighbors. i could never live in the city again.I'll say a prayer for you and ian and shelby and hope you get your wish.

Kelley it sounds wonderful and you can hear the love you have for it in your writting...That is the way I felt about this place...I still do...but we have outgrown it and folks are moving too close...so I am casting an eye for another...Bless his heart MAtt has worked his butt off fencing this place and when I mentioned another he gave me that "look"...But he wants more land and to be futer away from folks also...we may never find it or never be able to afford it...But this place is home and paid for...got plenty of fences also...lol...I wish you the best on the land...KAtG

Kelly, I hope this land deal works out for you. You seem to be a level headed, hard working Lady and deserve what you are willing to work for.

Hi Kelly,

Been following your posts, but haven't posted myself.

Really hope you get this...please post pics when you can.

Not much else new here. It has been a real bear of a winter. Have about two feet of snow on the ground with ice underneath. Been battling that for the last month.

Had about 25 loads of wood cut to keep heating costs down. Have about 13 loads left, and have spent about $800 for propane so far...

Lucy and I are just dreaming about spring.

Keep us advised.

Mike
