What was Houston's response?

Copy Eagle, you have a bunch of guys turning blue down here!

And the Answer is......    Posted 02-01-2005 at 12:58:34       [Reply]  [No Email]
Contact Right

Contact Left

Shutdown

Houston, Tranquillity Base here, The Eagle has landed.

I won a free drink on Southwest Airlines with this. They asked the question and had the Eagle has landed thing for the answer. The stward said they had been asking the question for 15 years and evidently had been wrong the whole time.

July 20, 1969. Anybody remember it?

Yup, I was 12 years old, ridin' home from the lake with my parents. I was in the back seat of Dad's '67 Impala, we had just gone around the last curve north of my hometown and heard it on the radio. It sounded like "Contact lights" to me, not "contact right". Open windows, tinny radio and gravel road had me hearin' somethin' different than what really happened, I guess.

My guess

Yes the surface is fine and powdery.....spoken after the One small step that was spoken while on the LEM.

Always count on someone to bring logic into the equation. Faulty logic, but logic none the less.
