I'd like to thank each of you that replied to my earlier post and even signed the guestbook on the twins website. I received a tearful phone call this evening from Aunt Mandy, my friend, and the twins Aunt. Joshua was fading. I received this email late this evening....

"Tonight Joshua is resting in the arms of Jesus. We praise the Lord for all that He did for and through little Joshua during his 55 days here with us. He was an amazing little fighter---true to the Smith name. He taught me so much about courage, prayer and keeping short accounts with my Lord and many, many more things. I got to hold his hand and his skin was so soft. I looked for all those kisses he was suppose be getting on my behalf from Mommy and Gramma and I think I saw each one of them all over the top of his head. They did a very good job.

Thank you all for praying for Joshua and for Kevin and Amanda and Matthew. Please don't stop praying for Kevin and Amanda and Matthew. They may need it now more than ever. When I left the NICU tonight Mommy was snuggled up to Matthew in a rocker by his bedside. God is so good all the time. We just can't praise him enough for his grace and mercy and the promises He gives to be our strength and to give us peace.

Thank you again.

Thank you again for taking the time to read, pray and think about this wonderful family. I'll be seeing Aunt Mandy tomorrow at our homeschool group classes....I'm sure that it will be a tearful time. Please bookmark the site and check back often to see how Matthew is progressing.

Blessing to all.

by they were small weren't they? my dad was a premie - his first crib was a cigar box - in those days they didn't have much hope for him and he was lactose intolerant so they raised him on beef broth - but he was a great dad, loved to laugh, raised us kids & made it into his 50s. so it can work. :)

I am so very sorry to hear that. My prayers will continue for little Matthew and his family.
