Yep, I went and did it. I couldn't resist. I am the chicken lady after all, and if I wasnt before, I am now. I am THE chicken whisperer...lol.

Went to Swints Feed and got me 5 Black Austrolorps and 5 barred rocks. They are already 3 weeks old, I usually get them at a day old, but they weren't moving very fast so I rescued the first ten that hopped out into my hands. :)

So, now I have to give them names right? NOPE. Shelby and Tiffany have named them all, lol. They can tell them apart better than I can already. So, now I have babies. :) I will have new chicken pics real soon. I am so happy :)

Poor Ian, he was trying to pull down ivy off the back of the house and he says the buffs and the sussex are too tame, lol. He was trying to scare them away to keep them out from under his feet, but they just didn't get it, lol.

Man I do love my chickens. :)

I love baby chicks. My Silkies are always hiding out and surprising me with new little ones, even through the winter months, so then here comes the cage and the lights and ..... but they are so cute.

Yeah, I started all this last year, lol. My husband thinks I am nuts, but he tolerates me. I build a house and a run last year for the buffs and the sussex. Made it from scratch, my own design, if you go to the Photo Gallery and punch in KellyGa in the search it may still be in there. Now I have me ten more babies, and I love them every one. :) I did read your story, I loved it, absolutely loved it. :) Thanks for sharing it with us. :) I do love a good story. Thanks. :)
