One flying trip to Concord (1 hour+ each way), a half a tank of gas and $72 later, I'm back in the water business. Thank you, Lord!

Got ya beat Les....my pump is 430 ft. down.....last time we pulled it was a distinct memory....and a PITA to say the least.

The well is 440 feet deep but they set the pump at 400.
I figure today was much too nice a day for pump pulling. It should be at least down to 0 with a 40 knot wind blowing snow around. ";^0
This one has been in there since '88. Who knows how much longer it will last. At least this new control has some kind of a device on it so that it won't burn the pump out if we suck all the water out of the well.

This is one of my true tales. When my husband died I could not take care of the place so sold it in 1995. We had a pump, the tank was in the garage. need I add over pump. A month ago the people who bought the place called and wanted to know where the well was????????

Did'ja tell'em tha fool thang was in tha ground where it were suposed ta be?
Kinda worry about My old Pump. When new it pumped exactly 10 Gallons and with all tha Hogs and haulin water with 55 Gallon Barrels I could run time checks real easy and did so about daily. It's slowin down but it's a 10 year pump thats comin up on 19 without ever bein pulled. Even survived havin tha controler blowed up by lightnin, Plus tha water here is so hard You can fill a glass with it'n see tha "hardys" floatin round in it like one'a them snow storm globes Ya turns upside down.
