I'm thinking I want...
10 Buff Orpingtons (my favorite so far)
5 Speckled Sussex OR Partridge Rocks
5 Light Brahmas and
5 Black Australorps

Hubby says all hens - we're tired of cleaning roosters! But those Speckled Sussex and Partridge Rock roosters look so pretty.
And our remaining Buff rooster is now 2 years old.

How 'bout Ya'll?

KellyGa    Posted 02-09-2005 at 15:22:52       [Reply]  [No Email] Petsmart :) My prettiest Speckled Sussex, in my opinion :)

I just got 5 black austrolorps and five barred rock babies, they are all so sweeeeet. :)

id ya don't get roosters, will they still lay?

yes they will still lay, all you need a rooster for is to fertilize the eggs for hatching chicks.

Absolutely! They will just be less stressed out and happier not to have the harrasment! LOL!

i thinks they lay long as they got a nice bed DC course when they get real tired they ,ll lay anywhere , just like me sleep on a bed of nails, and it seems i must half the time.

Just so ya don't displace more to down here.

I haven't orderd them yet. I'm just _planning_ and _hoping_. Doesn't that help Spring to come sooner? :-)
