Had trouble with my DSL connection today. About once every two months it will drop the connection. I used to call the SBC support line and they would query the DSL line and confirm that it was indeed down and put in a work order. It would usually come back up in 1 or 2 hours.

Well today when I called the 1-800 support line I got connected to a lady that I could just barely understand, verbally. Plus on top of that, it was a bad connection. She tried to say that I had a computer problem and wanted me to go through all kinds of diagnostic things on my computer to try to fix it. I kept trying to tell here that it was the DSL line that was down. Finally asked to talk to her supervisor. When he came on I could tell immediately that he was from India. I ask him where he was located and he said India. After 10 minutes of trying to understand him, I gave up and said forget it and hung up.

I waited about 2 hours and the DSL line came back up on it's own accord.

So, if you have SBC DSL and want support, FORGET IT! And you thought that Southwestern Bell was a good ole American company, huh!

You are right Mike. I had it for a while - service was horrible and support was even worse.

To think, SBC will now own AT&T service and ruin that too.
