I guess the Unions Didn't help the worker here did they?

The union should stay away from Wal-Mart so local people can make a wage with the possibility of advancement.

BTW I am NOT anti union just anti BS

We have one here and I don't support them. I do my shopping in the several locally owned grocery stores.

yup it is in canada steve, i forget where now could be out manitobia,s way, they say they can,t reach a deal with the union, just union busting as far as i can see, i shop at the one here but to be honest they could close it tomorrow and it wouldn,t bother me, could do just fine probably better without it.

YIKES!!! if walmart closed around here we'd go belly up...nearest grocery store is half hr away, in any given direction...big stores are in columbia mo. thats an hour and half louis is 2 and a half hrs away...only thing in this small town is a meat locker, 1950's looking one man one lady grocery store...(poor slection and higher than HE-double-L, a post office, two bars and a gas station...we really rely on walmart in this area..

You rely on Wal-Mart NOW because when they moved in, they were able to under-cut every local owner (due to world-wide volume purchases) and run them out of business (not necessarily intentionally) and then everyone locally became dependent.

That's the way the ball bounces.
(and Yes, I shop there, too.)

HOGMAN A POINT TO PONDER    Posted 02-10-2005 at 15:16:02       [Reply]  [No Email]
It seems We the People unlike the Lobster who feels quit comfy as tha Pot warms must needs reach over tha side an crank tha heat up so as ta expidite Our reliance on Chinese et al imports at a monopoly purveyor. And, where will We be when the last Competitor has been forced out of business? Alas,a truely ponderable point to ponder.
