As i'm the odd duck out, the new kid, the what ever ya want to call me (be nice)...what has been the longest topic/string? does it ever get to a point where someone has to step in and put a stop to it? I belong to a chat room and for some time monitered it...but had to give it up, just not enough time anymore...(and it got old fast, same ones always throwing the wet blanket around)...and if i fail to answer ya...sorry, i get lost easy...and try and go back and answer posts to me..also, has anyone ever hosted a face to face get together? where people come from all over to visit and meet in person? ...thanks for the answers.....h

i been around here for quite a while now , i have met grover and his wife and bob ont and his wife came to visit, still waiting on ennis eieo and the rest of the KREW and as for DJ an tammy seems they are having a hard time finding a road leading north outa texas, but i recall many good and some wild days on here , i think that is one of the reasons that make this site so popular is that mis kim our hostess pretty much lets us be until things get out of control, sitll a little bit of the wild west around and it,s enjoyable here.

I remember one once about favorite pocket knives. Had lots of good stories, and no name calling. Believe it was 60 or 70 posts long. Pretty tame, but full of good stuff.

Who knows the longest...nobody keeps up with it. But, I have had the honor of meeting Cindi in Florida. She has pigs and chickens and goats and cows. She used to come here a lot, but I think she has gotten a bit busy lately. She can tell the best stories. :) One trip to Florida we made the extra trek to her house, and she was just like I knew she would be. :) We had a good time talking and her showing us around. It was well worth the trip. :)

Hollie, people are people the world over and whenever there are two or more assembled there is bound to be a difference of opinion.

I've lurked on this board for more than a couple of years now and I can tell you that these things run in cycles. This one too shall pass.

Per your question on the longest thread, I don't know what holds the record, but I can tell you it's got to be a hum-dinger. These over the past few days wouldn't even make the top ten. Actually these recent ones have been relativly civil in comparison to a few I can think of.
