my doctor says smoking causes lung cancer etc etc but nobody asks where i use to work, [machine shops,] for 25 years, here we have welding smoke, we have oil coolent turning to smoke and mist,we have grinding metal,we have compressed air blowing this stuff in our face, fork lifts running, when i get lung cancer etc. etc. it will be because i smoke.I resent anyone telling me what to do,i can eat fat, if i want to,or go skydiving,or pray to the devil if i choose.I pay good money for my cigs and enjoy them. [att garret Iam 63 years old feb 6]

Here's my only 2cents on this smoking issue. I started smoking at the age of 15 AND IT WAS MY CHOICE. I recently quit smoking at the age of 55 AND IT WAS MY CHOICE.

The FREEDOM TO CHOOSE is ours as a result of thousands of AMERICANS who have paid the ultimate price for that freedom. No Company or 2bit politician has the right to take CHOICE away from any American. When the people of this country start allowing that to happen then this country will see itself on a very slippery slope and maybe headed for a second Revolution.

Do-gooders and nannies are nice when yer a little kid.....I don't want em or need em as a adult.

The company did not tell their workers, whom by the way are hired by the company and paid wages by the company, that they could no longer smoke.

They only gave them a requirement for working at this company.
The choice is up to the employee or person wanting to work there weather they want a job there or not.

Your right he had a great life! My mother died of masive cancer at 72 and never smoked a day in he life and only had a glass of wine at night once in a while. I think our cards are delt all ready pretty much in life for how it ends. Some live longer, some wish they did not live longer and some don't live long enought. To bad some of the worst people in life live to long! Mark H.
