We were ready to go, my brother and I, in our brand new (joint owned) 32 foot motor home. We are towing his "baby truck" so we are long and wide.To get to the county road there is a sharp turn( You can see what is comming) We hit the county road and everything with hinges or slides opened. I had s*** everywhere. Out of overhead bins came maps, papers, dark glasses etc.In the kitchen, pots and pans, dishes, can goods, heads of cabbage and lettuce were going crazy. The bathroom floor was full of tooth brshes, shaving cream, soap, make up, tiolet paper, and heaven only knows what else. We couldn't stop, you don't just pull one of thoes puppies off the road. We headed for a gas station a mile and half away on a curvey country road. While all the stuff is going back and forth ,DOG decided to have a nervous break down.I had to pick her up, the poor thing was shaking like a leaf.It is getting deep in here.
We stop. We can't open the door because the stairwell is full, I am not about to chase any of the above that might take a hike down the road. brother says.O K we will go back, clean up the mess, and try it one more time. THIS TIME LOCK ALL THE******DOORS
Now ,you are asking, why didn't she do it in the first place? We had upscaled to this unit, the other one had a diffeent system. You closed a door and it was locked. This one you locked only when you were ready to travel by pushing up on handle.I now have a take off check list.

We had a funny thing happen with our pickup camper. We were on a curvy country road, went by a house and a dog came out of the yard to chase us. As he came alongside on a curve some water that got left in the sink came out the drainhole in the side and gave him a shower. One surprised dog!

Morning G....yep...been there done that...we started out camping when the boys were little...tent first, then to a pull type...then to a motor home...the only thing we hated was getting there...but had lots of fun through the years...then 6 yrs ago we started boating...NOW that is a fun time!...we spent many a evening and most all weekends on the lake...but the first campers we had were rather small...in fact depending if you was male or female mapped out how ya entered the bathroom...(females backed in, men stood in) it was so small ya could barley stay after doing your business...and if i hit my head once i hit it a dozens time on the metal part that holds up the awning...the last one we had was a 32 foot holiday rambler...ya just left a mental note on me to once again talk to the hubby about getting a camper...have to watch our length...tahoe pulling a sea ray boat and then the camper could get rather long...nice to hear from ya G *smile*
