Wow, being an expectant Grand Father is hard work. My daughter is due Feb. 22. She had a very difficult pregnancy back in 96 and this will be cecarian(sp?). She is ovewieght and her blood pressure is a little high, not much, but the doctor has her on bed rest. This morning after a doctor visit they had trouble hearing the baby. So they went to a neo-natal intensive care unit with speicalizeds ultra-sound equipment. Seems that the baby has moved down and is head first so that is why my daughter hasn't been feeling her kick so much. All the tests they did came out real well, even the one about the baby "practicing breathing." I have never heard of that one. She goes back on Wednesday to have the same tests run.

Boy I am on pins and needles. My wife (this would be my daughter's step-mother) is going out to California on Thursday to visit her new niece. She will be back when the baby's due a week from Wednesday and the "C" section.

I won't be the same until this is all over. A little prayer for all of us sure would be appreciated. The baby's name is Halley Joan. The Joan part is for her Grand Mother (my first wife) who passed away in 1994. Thanks CLers

My prayers are with you and your daughter. I agree, being a grand parent is much harder. I have been there seven times, am now having great grand children.Tell your daughter she has another grandma pulling for her.
