Evening everyone! :0)

BEWARE..this is a little vent :0) Well, it turned out to not be so little! LOL

We homeschool so that's our first priority. Our son is a great student and is doing very well. :0)
My son is a HUGE help around the homestead. He's a really great kid and is very willing to help out with any projects that we are into. He's really interested in horses and may have the opportunity the summer to work at a Ranch just a few miles from the house. He's so excited!

I clean house for several friends and neighbors for extra income. It's been great! It's really flexible. BUT.....I'll be cutting back on the house cleaning. Actually taking off half of the houses that I currently do. The house cleaning jobs have been a blessing! We have been able to pay off several bills but I feel like it's served it's purpose.

I just feel like I need to be here at home more. I miss keeping the house neat and tidy...MY house is the worst when it comes time to clean!!! I enjoy cooking and baking and keeping things in order and that's not been what's going on. I know we eat healthier when I'm here more and can prepare proper meals. I've stretched myself out too far and my family and I are the ones paying for it.

Dear Hubby works weird hours so I try to handle all the outside yard work so that when he is off we can work on other projects or even get away for a bit. I enjoy yard work and keeping the flower beds. I especially like mowing grass...I know I'm nuts! LOL It's just that it's so peaceful...just me, the mower, and my thoughts.

I'm a person who doesn't like to "quit" anything. It makes me feel like I've failed so this next step of acutally telling folks that I can't clean for them anymore will be hard for me.
I just have to remember that I'm doing what is best for MY family and myself.

I've started working out again at the gym at the fire station. It feels good to be back at it. KellyGa's an inspiration to me! Going to stick with it! :0) I want to loose about 40 pounds...20 of which I gained back after going on a cruise! Back on the teadmill for me :0)

Thanks to everyone for letting me bend their ears. Just needed to "hear" myself think.

Love to everyone especially on this Valentine's Day! :0* Hug and Kiss

you're not quitting anyway mj - you're advancing, you're improving things, you're buckling down and doing a better job of assuring your offspring's success. what kinda person wouldn't understand that? good on ya! :)

Howdy mj.....I think ya are doing a great thing!....children grow up to fast and over stretching your time will not only make you olde before your time but you will miss alot of yer childrens years.....As fer the house work...I also use to clean fer other folks and had to hire someone to clean my house while I was doing others!....well I sold off my biz..let the housekeeper go and moved to the country where I have all my critters, make money off the property...hubby also works and I also like to mow and tend to outside chores....My children are grown and out of the house but they know that I am here all day every day to get ahold of iffin they need me and also where to come when they are hungry cause the gf wont cook lol....Dont think of taking pressure off yourself as is simply reproiritzing your time, wants, and needs of your family...and what is quiting about that I say?......I think all mothers should stay home and tend to the children, household, and husbands..then again i'm old fashion but I think thats what is wrong with children today...parents work and the role models they have is on T.V. instead of a dad who works hard to keep the family and a mom that tends to the family with love. I am going to be a granmom come august and cant it my daughter in law to be wont be working i very much doubt she will raise the child in an ole fashion way...thats why I am here lol....I think you are doing the best thing for you and your family...dale anne

MJ, you just go ahead and make whatever changes that makes you happiest. After all, you only get one shot at life so do that which is best for you. And, for what it's worth, you have my leave to rant till you can't rant no more.

There is but one thing you can do for me. That is to convince my wife of the joy found in lawn mowing. Mercy child where were you when I was a-wife hunting.......gfp
