OH boy...what a night...the news has finally filtered down to ol mom here...guess the family knew i'd pitch a appears the oldest son...age 32, married, no kids, level headed, the business minded one, the calm think things through one, is about to embark on a life dream...and i could just skin him!!!...of all the hair brained ideas...sheese...he is giving up a very good income, stability and life style to tour the usa....yep....pulling a 30 foot camper..he and tracey are selling out and just taking how dumb is that?...he is gonna rent out the house he is in, (his little brother is already renting his other home sense he came home from the marines)...he has sold most household items allready and what they really want to hang onto will be stored at his brothers..(i however will be the new owner of his 51 in. plasma tv) ...whoo hoo...anyhow...first stop is gonna be in north carolina..somewhere near dale e's place...gonna camp out there through spring and summer and then head further south to will be ok for some time, then after that he said they'd just take any type of job to get by and then take out again...i know its a dream of his to see the states...and he said he wants to do this while he is still young and while his daddy and i are still well enough that he need not to hang around (he meant the cancer deal i went through)...i suppose its ok...better be, he has done sold a lot of stuff and they traded in her truck and his and got a new one and picked up the camper today...everything is paid for, he said he'd only have insurance to pay and where ever he camped at...guess i had best start a post card collection...just sitting up and thinking about that, thought id vent on you good people a while...sigh.

Good for them! I did it when I was in my 20's (twice)and would like to do it again. It's something everyone should be able to do. They'll never forget it that's for sure.

Well best he and wife get this out of their systems, and with no kids right now, good, hey mom they'll stay in touch, and if they didn't try this, they would always fret and wonder..."what if" now tell me, that at some point in life, you wanted to do "something" but held back? Heck, we have all done that....and yep, wondered "what if"
Buy a supply of post cards and 23 cent stamps, good pen, and have fun.

Just finished the other followup and saw this.CALM DOWN, MA. Be glad he didn't; decide to do this AFTER the kids came, leave a lot of debts behind, ask you for money. It won't be long, they will get tired of that kind of life. Meanwhile, wish him well.Even if you don't mean it. I guess I can leave off the,get a good rest tonight. Will be thinking about you

Ha Hollie, you will do just fine, and the wee one will keep you occupied, there is always one child that dances to a different tune, and aren't you glad, because clearly here is one who thinks all the time.
