Off at O'darkhundred. First stop the Augusta Forestry Center for 500 white pines, then to look at a set of 16X38 8 rail power adjust rims, then to the counties foresters office, then the commisioner of the revenues office, then the lumber yard, farm store, and Napa for parts.

Sure hope I dont leave my list at home like I did last time they let me out on the tar road.

I got to have a list anymore or I forget.

i made a buncha tree holes years ago with the bug - it's 10 ft around a back tire, so i bolted a pointy bar across outside the wheel & that way boinked a hole every 5 ft. lee came along with the bucket of tree sprouts behind me & heeled them in. that was 1991 & heck they're growing 20 feet tall now.

hmmm that might be a way to get them planted quicker, don,t need the seedlings very deep do you.

naw heck they only have 6" roots, and don't hurt to curl them to 1 side. keep them moist though - 30 seconds of dry is too long - we keep the bucket 1/2 full of water.

ya i know you have to keep them roots in some water and get them planted as fast as you can, the forestry company brings them in in a semi with a freezer , i think they are kept frozen until planted,i was up on the loggin road last spring near one and you could hear the refridgerator running on it.
