thought i'd bring this up top - we attended the faa fly-in back when the "confederate air force" was still in minnesota (i think they're hdq in texas now) . they displayed everything from rutan's stuff to the lone remaining b24. the air show was tops and it'll wear you out! tours, walk-thrus, dozens of skydivers & barnstormers, bombing tuns, tents under wings, too much to see
- take in the eaa airventure in july if you can!

i live about 60 miles from there but I have never gone to the EAA show.Been there at the muesum. If or when you decide to go, make hotel reservations early, and you maY still end up driving 50 miles from your room to the show. they have made inprovements to the entry road the last several years just to keep the show here. Guess you can spend every day there and see different things every day.

We were there one time, in 1982. My dad-in-law was a vendor there that year. My wife worked for him, she got asked to be a contestant for the show queen so she was up on that stage with some nice looking gals. If I was good at posting pictures I have some.

We have a small local event here in June, but it can't hold a candle to something like that!
Thanks DC
