But not in the manner I would have liked.
The baby is sick, so I'm taking her to the doc. I should make good use of this time and clean the house,,, but I probably won't do much!

I hope everyone else has a nice Friday, and thoroughly enjoys the weekend.

Have fun!
Joyce

Heyyy there EJ, just take good care of the baby and forget the housework. It'll be there when the baby is better. I hope the little one gets to feeling better soon......gfp

Found out in my many years that housework never gets done, but babies grow up and leave. just take care of the baby and all else will fall into place.

Thank you both.
She has a double ear infection, and one has burst. She's so easy going, she didn't act sickly until yesterday. She's on antibiotics and will do just fine. Her other ear drum burst with her last ear infections about a year ago. All should be normal by the time I have to go back to work on Tuesday.

She's sleeping, so I might do _some_ housework! Believe me, I let it go whenever I can. My sister gave me this poem framed, and I pretty much live by it (Yuk! look at that dust on the frame... oh well):

Excuse This House

Some houses try to hide the fact
That children shelter there.
Ours boasts of it quite openly.
The signs are everywhere.

Smears are on the windows,
Little smudges on the doors.
I should apologize, I guess,
for toys strewn on the floors.

But, I sat down with the kids today.
We played and laughed and read.
And if the woodwork doesn't shine,
Their eyes will shine instead.

Times that I am forced to choose
The one job or the other,
I want to keep my house neat,
But first I'll be a Mother.
