How long can you keep poultry in the freezer before it gets freezer burn or any other bad effects?

Well, if you keep mine in the freezer too long, they stop breathing, lol. Soon they get quite stiff, and I don't think they come back from that...lol.

if you have one of them "air sucker"machines you'll get a better seal and it'll taste more like fresh .

Depends a little on how you package it, and how cold the freezer is. Decently packaged poultry, in a "normal" home freezer is good for about a year. We just finished up the last of our butchering from 18 months ago, and it was still decent. First chilled it, then packed it in plastic bag first, then put that into a second zip lock freezer bag and froze it as fast as we could.
