You have a good heart,Bob. Heap them coals. Granny always said you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. You did the right thing.

It wouldn't bother me to have a neighbors chickens wander over to visit now and then, but with the way that neighbor acts, I might have to get out the hatchet and make supper out of one or two, just because he's a jerk that needs to be taught a lesson or two.

And because I like chicken too.

welp I aint never called on the nieghbors dog but ya had me lookin fer ya hens are free range and know they sometimes wander, but come back home again....I dont kill anything that comes on my property unless I have some hunting dogs...but only iffin I really have they are attacking my malteese pups...wouldnt even shoot them fer taking a a duck or goose yes! lol....every dang gone year I am calling someone to come gets them hunting dogs before my big boys[mt large dogs] kill it....I learned my lesson 2 years ago...we found a hunting dog that our dogs got ahold of near the barn and had chewed her half to death...I called the owner anyways and let him know we had her and she would need medical attention...the dog looked like she hadnt eaten in weeks all skin and bones plus look like she threw pups some days ago....owner came picked the dog up by hind and neck and THREW!!!!!!!!!!! this poor dog into the back of his pickup truck...I swore that day that iffin I ever came across another hunting dog that was that thin and sick I would take it myself to the shelter instead of turning it over...of course removing the owners tag first so he may never find it again....dale anne
