Boy I sure don't need another last night. Started off ok. Went by the tractor dealer after work and paid in full for my new (to me) ride. Case 970, $5899 completely serviced, gased up, and deleivered. Coming Tuesday at noon. Pretty much down hill from there. I started cutting the body off a 85 ford one ton van (want running gear) and was called away to help with calf deleivery. She's been down for hours with feet hanging out. Ended up going where no man has gone before to relocate a brand new head. Got it out bout ten minutes later not breathing. A little mouth to snouth and got enough in it to blow out some muck and it was breathing on it own by midnight it was doing well. Wore out and plum tired. Got 3 pints colostrum in it, gave it a good rub down. Hereford(sp) first calf - baby girl. Bout 12:01 am got call that boy cut hand and oldest girl was freakin out. Seems he was tryin to help out and work on the van for me. Sliped and cut himself. Ran home to find 3" gash across back of his hand cut into mussel and tendons. Auggggg... Off to hosp ER can home 4 hours later with him sportin 10 stiches. Check on my calves when I get home (4:00am) and one was DOA. He had been sick and loosing weight like mad. Meds were helpin and I was hopin it would recover. Guess not.

Hope today isn't as exciting...............
