Well it looks like this is the week that you move to the country. Just checking with you to see how everything is going? And again good luck.

Well, I am no longer a city dweller. We moved Saturday, June 1st. So far so good, except for a little problem with the well. I don't think I've pumped enough water through it. After not using any water for a few hours we get a little discolored water for a while. Well driller said to keep pumping and it will clear up. Well is 180 feet deep, pump at 140 feet, hit water at 90 feet. Any ideas? I've had a hard time sleeping, I think it is to quiet. It has been 13 years since I lived on a farm, so my body has not adjusted to the quiet yet. My little boy loves it out there. We put up the mailbox last night and burned some more waste building materials.

The best thing is no one watching my every move. I hated that about living in town. Anytime you go outside someone is there.

Next big projects coming up.
Build garage onto house.
Get yard ready for planting this fall
Thistles in pasture
Honey do's in house, Shelves, ceiling fans, ect.

By the way, my little boys favorite song....

John Denvers, "Thank god I'm a Country Boy"

It took about a week of moderate use for our 477' well to clear up. Even after the water looked clear you could still taste and smell Mother Earth after a shower.
