I asked this question down below but kinda
tagged it onto another pretty much unrelated
post.
So what is goat meat like to eat? I don't
believe I've ever had the chance to try it.
Things I have eaten for possible comparison:
beef
lamb
horse
moose
deer
rabbit.

Does anybody know where I can get some
goat meat in New England?

We had some given to us by a friend and it wasnt bad. The steaks we had reminded me of deer steaks.

If you are close to any large or even medium size citys you might try grocery stores or meat markets in ethnic settled areas. There are even old fashion butcher shops in areas of Kansas City and St. Louis here in Missouri. Some areas that might have goat would be Mexican, Croatian, Greek, etc. Might be able to sample a prepared dish at restuarants. I have had goat cheese and maybe even goat meat at Greek restuarants.
