Well guys since Father's Day is just around the corner I thought I would post a picture in the photo gallery titled "Working Mans Boots, as tribute to the working man. I realize that this may not apply to all but just ask Dennis where his boots are??

These are his working boots, steel toes, leather the whole kit and kaboodle I took the picture yesterday. I still love him though.

A good pair of boots are inportant!! I have put my winter ones away and got out the summer ones. Just sat through 8 hours of refresher class on fighting wild fires and only 16 more hours to go! I got my fire fighting boots by the back door they are inside tho they need to fit real good because the last time I wore them they did not come off for over 32 hrs and if they don't fit your feet will tell you. Hope this year is better than the last one. Mark H.

Well i'll admit - even my boots don't look that bad! LOL
Don't get downwind of my fishin' tenners though - nothing could smell that bad and still be alive - i think some skunk ghost wears them at nite. I carried them like a bomb and dropped them in the washer - the suds turned to jello, the machine melted and town sirens played taps. lol

That was a soothing photo for me--A lone pair of working boots. (Around here, it is
steel toes, no steel toes, 2 pairs of tennies,
and seven pairs of slipons, 2 sandals, and 25 caps to go with.) I must still love him though--because I went and bought him a Dairy Queen ice cream cake with Scooby Doo. (which I am going to see tonight I hope for $3.50 at the old theater!)

I was always in awe of my grandpa who could wear
the same leather boots for a decade (they never
wore out). They were a true expression of his
character somehow and the work he believed in
doing! My dad now carries that tradition on--
the characterizing of the leather boot!

I know when I see cobwebs on hubby's working boots, I am really wishing he'd dust them off,
and do some of those honey-do's outside.

Amazing how one photo has many facets.
