Has anybody ever climbed up Angel's Landing? It is located in Utah State Park, and a friend of mine from Texas has invited me to the challange. He says it is a tough climb, there is a trail, but that the sumit it well worth it. He says some places are so narrow that there is literally nothing to hold onto between you and eternity cept a prayer. Anyway, if anybody has any info on this place, please let me know. Thanks.....

I plan on doing Angel's Landing in October with a dear friend, but some of the web pictures of it make me vacillate between overwhelming exhilaration and stark terror! Is that normal? For anyone who has climbed this thing: there is a vertical step at the end of the dizzyingly narrow platform, just before the start of the ridge itself, where you have to pull yourself up and onto the ledge, with nothing but a heavy chain between you and the next world. How steep and high IS that first step, really? Are there places you can brace your feet, or do you have to just pull yourself up with the chain and pray you're strong enough??
