a farmer had an old j d tractor early 30's vintage when it was young it would pull a 3 bpttom with no problem as it got older 2 bottom
lately single well last tuesday the jd started
to realy complain it was hurtin took it to the
garage mechanic said a peice of grit in the carb
but don't worry let it clean itself out i will give you a gas additive to better use the gas that is getting through
two days later itwas worse back to the garage
mechanic said hmmm seems as the additive has thickened the oil so bad that the tractorwas hurting worse so don't use the additive any more
and still let it clean itself out
two more days now take old jd to a very special and expensive mechanic said he after checking with other mechanics in first garages
you have a peice of grit in the carb let it alone it will clear itself out if it breaks anything on the way out call me
old jd is running a bit better but still waiting to clear itself out
now subsitute the following

Been there - 4 times in 4 years ! Each time the grit had to be removed. They put a 'remover' up the fuel line, if you know what I mean. First time it happened I didn't know what it was. I thought I was gonna die and was afraid I wouldn't. My brother thought I was a wimp until he got his 'grit' 2 weeks after my first ! He's also had 4 and now he knows what a wimp is. I've been told by women who have had them that they hurt less when they delivered a baby. These things are not for the faint of heart. I feel for you brother !

Also been there and is no fun. Now you know why doctors call bussins a PRACTICE.

I've heard of grown men crying in pain with those things. Thank goodness I haven't had any. One guy said they crushed his with something. Seems like it was sound waves or something like that.

I like the way you related the story!

itold it that way to prove that people wouldn't
have put up with letting a peice of equiptment
being neglected but will let their bodies go to
---- if a mechanic ever said let it clear itself
he would not be in business long but a doctor justgets richer

I had one go out tha "gas line" several Years ago while alone on a barge.Thought death was gonna pass Me by out of pure cussedness. It must have been wrapped in barbwire way it felt, hit tha deck'n bounced off out inta tha water. Went to tha doc, friend, yea varly a good Buddy, says Ya shoulda turned around so's it woulda stayed on tha deck'n We coulda got a bunch of info from it.
My reaction was "good buddy You shuck one out'n see just how thoughty You are"!

Thats Ultrasonics They use ta break um up with but I'd expect even after Ya make gravel outta tha boulder it's still gonna make Ya break out in a cold sweat'n scream a little goin thru.
