My neighbor, Ol Shaky Nixton who lives two sections west of me started raising Tanzmanian Pig Hounds a few years ago. I bought two females from him and let me tell you they are some dogs. I don't know much about the breed but I'm told that in Tazmania they raise pigs by just turning them out on open range and then about once a year or so they round 'em up using these dogs. And they WILL herd about anything. A couple months back a couple ladies from the Tax Assesser's came by while no one was at the house. Them dogs herded 'em up and put 'em in my corral. I'm sure glad them dogs didn't know how to use the headgate. I found 'em the next day all covered with ticks and such. Of couse one of the ladies noticed I'd added a new section to my corrals. She said "Gimpleg, I see you've added on to your corrals and is that a new crowding tub? This is going to cost you-cost you a lot. Just look at my hair. We're coming back for a better look at all these new improvements and I'm bringing my pistol next time." Well, at least I know why the UPS man doesn't come around any more.

Will you sell me one? I had a hog get out the other day and you just don't wanna see someone like me playing pigboy,, John Wayne would be ashamed!
You gotta start and redefine your additions, that would be a fenced in play area, and a wet spot that ruined the place!!!
Good Luck

Well, I'd like to but they won't let me export them except to Oklahoma.
