Thanks for the warm wishes folks -'preciate it.
In the evening race, it was Rosie the Horsepig by a snout, over Queens Rook and a strong finishing Sabre... (Rosie ducked under a barbed wire fence).
I will certainly be spending a few hours here in the future...and once I figure out how to post pictures, I may even do so. Even though I did a few years homesteading in the Great White North, I plan to make full use of all the available talent in Kountrylifeland.
I'll also happily share my experiences with you all - plus my expertise, should the need arise, I've been teaching Handcrafted Vertical Log and French Canadian Piece-en Piece construction for 6 and a half years now (just finshed my 100th week- long course).
Deadcarp.. I came across a wonderful Strawbale system perfected by Habib Gonzales in Canada. He uses an airbag compression system, chicken-wires and then sprays with a Gunite machine (concrete sprayer) - this may not be everyones cuppa tea - but for low-income housing in this country, I believe it's a Godsend.. I hope to fly him out here in your winter..a great guy : firstname.lastname@example.org
