All you Indiana people are hogging all the rain so I turned the cows loose in my corn patch. Got about 3 -4 inches before it started to turn yellow. Even the weeds are dieing around here. Bunch of my friends aren't getting any hay crop at all. The only thing you can raise here is dust.

So you think it is dry up your way? Why here in N.M. the trees are chasing the dogs!

Guess I aint livin right . I`m in S.E. Indiana and most of the rain has went around me . Did get all the first cuttin a hay done though because of it . We got our first rain here last night but it came so hard and fast it was in the Ohio river in 30 min. We`ve had three in. rains go right by 5-10 mile away . Aint dryin up yet though but the grounds so hard ya cant drive a 16 penny nail in it !!!

i know what you mean about giving up,kraig WY. i live in se texas that is supposed to get rain, but it all goes around us or get close and breaks up. seems like all we get is thunder, lighting, wind and NO RAIN. gets very frustrating when trying to grow pasture for cows and make hay. even though it is so dry here we don't have the wildfires like out in colorado and arizona. i guess it can always be worse.

We still have only .94 inches of rain so far this year!! Pretty dry around here too! If we are lucky we might break a inch for the year by the end of July!! Mark H.

Sorry to hear that kraig - our rain's about minimum to average here - last year started out with a dry month too - the corn did okay once we got rain, and developed a lump where it was stunted by dry. You're right, we need to spread the rain out a little. :)
