I am not a tobacco user. Not any form of tobacco. But I do have a question regarding the high cost of tobacco products. Having done just a little research, I see that tobacco will thrive anywhere you can grow tomatoes. With the price of cigs. aproaching the $30.00 per 10 packages level, why in the world don't folks just put in a year's supply when they plant the veg. garden, cure out the leaves, process into your product of choice and enjoy it without all the expences associated with the purchase of the finnished product? Looks like this would save you a bundle.

takes alot of ageing and processing to make a good tasting cig. besides it is a fed requlation on growing tobacco. my neighbor grew two rows for chewing tobacco for his own use. had to plow it under. wonder why the gov doesn't tax drink as much as tob. 16,000 innocent people killed every year by drunk drivers. i guess our leaders are ready to stop smoking, but not ready to stop drinking.

Ought to be a person's own choice what they grow.If they are bothering others with it,it is time for the community to step in,not the government.
I have heard my mamma tell about grandpa having to plow under his cotton. Not till they pry my cold, dead fingers off my shootn' iron.Don't git me started on this hair brained bunch running this country.....

Your right on tha tax thing RH, tha Gvmt takes a dim view of folks raisin Their own, sorta like makin Moonshine. A few folks here still grow Their own but also a few still "still" Their own.
Your right about booze as a killer of People and for sure tha Gvmt loves tha tax money. But I remember Probition only toooo well!
Don't it seem strange that with all the thousands of people killed every year by drunk or drinking drivers that You can drive up to tha gas pump, fill up Your tank, go in pay and while there pick up booze so Ya can fill up Your other tank whilest drivin?????????????????????????
I rest My case.

I'm against DUI in in form or fashion, but it ain't gone help to take it off the store shelves or on Sunday.Just like dope, they are open 7 days.Billions have been wasted on the war against drugs and ain't helped a bit.Take the profit out and it will stop.
While I'm griping, church people say to rest on the sabeth. How come they go out to eat,to the gas station and to the movies on Sunday? Seems like if they were real they would fill up on Sat.,cook at home and read the good book.Oh I forgot, that's them, this is me.

Because they would miss out on the additives.

I hear they add a bunch of junk to the tobaco for ciggs! That real tobaco is a lot better tasting then the stuff they put in ciggs. Just what I need a better smoking cigarett to try to quit. I just smoke the cheapest one I can find (allmost) some are darn right nasty! Mark H.

Maybe you would quit faster if you just bought the nasty ones.
