How do I get rid of tree toads?

Hey everyone,
I've got a problem. Seems like my property is a tree toad circus. These little guys don't quit screeming all night. It's very very loud. My home sits umongst some rather large pine and maple trees and I have a pool. Seems like they hang out in the trees around the pool. Is there something I can spray in the trees to get them away, or kill them? I grew up in the country and never had this be a problem as I do in this house, Thanks Steve

Sorry you stand correct!! There really are Tree Toads. I should not doubt you. Congradulations for being so smart. Have a great day!

The pool is bringing 'em in. They're having a pool party when you go to bed. Set out 12 packs of little beer cans, on ice of course! Wait 'til they get drunk and relocate 'em.

Sorry! Couldn't resist. I think the pool is drawing 'em there though.

Oh, so you like bugs, huh?    Posted 07-02-2002 at 06:37:43       [Reply]  [No Email]

Tree Toads?

We have tree frogs.
Never saw a toad in a tree.
If you kill them, you are gonna unleash all sorts of bugs on yourself.

Your call which is worse...

Salmoneye is right on the money. Just enjoy the benefits of the tree frogs. You'll get accustomd to their noise and barely notice it after a while.
Chances are your pool is waht attracted them, and you may wind up swimmming with tadpoles.

We are infested with them! And I could not get used to that noise ever! We have 25 of them around our pool all night long and the noise is just unbearable. We installed an A/C unit figuring if we shut the windows we would not hear them! WRONG! They drown out the A/C noise.

I'm fine with the toads on my back deck, but my male Boxer is inquisitive and playful. I have no idea what kind of toads they are, but get concerned when when I see sights about "poison sacs" and dogs dying because of them. I'm in upstate NY. Any ideas???

I live in CT and have several in my pool and I am skimming out eggs and tad poles. It is getting annoying. Is it true they release poison??? My Husband killed one and I just read that they have bugs. Please help. Is it harmful? Thank you mary
