Be careful with your rain dance

New I should have quit earlier. Neighbors dike broke. Mine held, went around, through my pasture and down the ditch between the house and arena. That was a road (to the right to the tire feeder) to my pig pens, pasture, and arena. Weeds ought to grow now.

Looks like those flash floods out west - they can pass in a few minutes but they roll big rocks into everything on the way by. Water's powerful stuff.......

Its from the mountains south of here. The corp of engineers told us it would happen because of last years fires. No vegatation to slow down the water. Now I got to clean all the burnt trees and stumps out of my pasture. But, it sure beats the fires.

It is pretty bad when you have to dig ditches for rain that falls somewhere else. To bad you could not devert some into a low spot for later use on your feilds. Maybe you could make a low spot for that reason and set up a pump. Mark H.

Don't know. Only have a little bit of corn. Hafta see. Certainly wont make it worse.
