At some point, probably just before we buy a
house or something big my wife and I are
going to pack up in a little old jeep with a little
old travel trailer and see this great country of
'Course I'd better get on with getting the Jeep,
and the travel trailer...

If you are into these things, I'm thinking early
'60s CJ 3B with an L head engine and warn
overdrive, electronic ignition. More comfy but
original looking seats, softtop, nice sound
I dunno about the travel trailer, my aunt and
uncle have one thats kind of egg shaped and
their Volvo station wagon hauls it like its not

Do what you want to do as soon as possible. Physical abilities can change quite rapidly with age. I thought seventy four wasn't very old until arthroscopic surgery on my knee this past January. Now I have a tough time standing up or sitting down. The Dr. says it is arthritis but I believe there is something else wrong. I got a little ticked when he said I'll be needing a new knee. Again, dodn't wait too long.

I sure do have hopes and dreams like that!
I have reached the stage where I wonder if I
will have that free time (almost an empty nester).
Are my dreams tangible or just pipe dreams?
Right now, it's a confusing stage to be in.
Then when I think my work is done, I may become
a grandmother.

Well, I'll sho 'nuff do that, Grove r!
It's been a while since I checked out the Dempster Highway. Is it open year 'round? What time of the year do you think would be the best? I was thinking maybe September. I'd love to do some fishing along the way.

Not realy sure on all the details, Les, workmate just got back from three weeks of holidays up to Alaska and back, just saw some of his pics last nite at work, beautiful country, and he said it is HUGE! We live in a spacious part of the country, but he said it can't hold a candle to whats up there! He said it takes a man all day to see to the horizon, but two men can do it in half the time.......gonna see him again on wed, so will ask him on the details......have a gooder R.E.L.
