There's a local tour company here that I see is organizing a bus tour and one of the stops is Jake's Corner, Yukon, can you believe it? Price is cheap, mind you the bus is an old fella, a '43 Winnemucker Transporter with a 7 cylinder spherical diesel motor. Seems it was transplanted from a WWII warplane, or so the story goes. No air conditioning either, but they do occasionally open the side shutters. Anyways, they stop at Jake's Corner for a few days with accomodations at the 3-Mile Hill Motel. The barmaids are said to be REAl friendly-like for those of you who might be interested in some co-ed activity. I bought my ticket and a guy can get some pineapple pickin' in at Jakes place, or at least that's what the brochure says. Mail me $10 US (no elcheapo Canadian dollars) and I'll reserve you a seat, well ... I'll reserve you a space on the bench. Bus leaves sometimes next year. See ya.

Is Stinkyfeets McGonigle still drivin' that ol' Winnemucker? I thought the Smithsonian had talked him outta that thing years ago! If it's still running, Stinkyfeets is the onliest one alive that could drive it, durn thing has two clutches and three shift levers. Ol' Stinky's Mom lived a little too close to the ETD factory, and the radiation from the Engine Works blessed Stinky with two feet on his left leg and three arms. Useta steer with his nose and shift with all three arms. He could make that sucker sing, that's for sure!

Well, you're right of course. ol' Alberta Mike is the expert on that bus and its driver but there will never be another driver like him. Did you ever meet his brother Herkimer? Another unusual fella. He could hold his breath for 2 hours at a time and could see underwater better than a fish. Some of them ol' boys said he had a set of gills but I don't know. He made a good living as a Dam Inspector. He used to pick up a big rock and just walk out into the lake and over to the dam, look it over then walk back out. Yup, it was really something to see. Last I heard of him was they sent him over to Egipt is inspect all their dams.

Didn't ya hear? Last damn dam he inspected, well it had sort of a hole in the middle of it and dagnaggit if he didn't get his thumb caught in it while checkin' out the turbine thing underwater. Well, his two hours under water record was broken by five days. Funeral services were last month in Cairo.
