After we moved out to the country, and then
bought a parcel nearby with a pond, you would
be surprised at how many people wanted to buy the pond from us! (We laugh, 'cause we already sold
it to a fellow looking for a getaway, so we could
fix up our house to be presentable inside.) People who want to buy it, say they are looking for a place to just take their kids for peace and quiet.
When I was growing up on the farm, we had a
lifestyle, a way of life. Everyone of the relatives were farmers, so I never knew any different. It never seemed to matter what was in somebody's bank account. Funny thing, I thought
we were very rich, but not in the dollar sense. I
knew we had something special--that town kids
may never know about.
One thing about the modern times, we can have
a heavy pocket, but poverty in the soul. So--live
your dream!
